My early childhood was at Waimarama a then small coastal community in Hawkes Bay. This was where a much loved kuia whom I called Nanny Reko, "semi-adopted" me and gifted me with the name of Matariki. As one of my christian names is Oarangi (blue sky), she claimed 'that Oarangi needed a Bright Shining Star in her Blue Skies'. To honour my Nanny Reko, I am proudly using my gifted name for my Holistic Healing Practice. I believe we are living in a world with an overwhelming need to change. I am hoping to contribute to this change - even in a small way- and if we all can do our little bit to heal Mother Earth and Sky Father, it is indeed better than nothing. Transcension has given me major hope that there can be a brighter future for our great, great, great grandchildren.
