                                                               Means Energy Wheel In Sanskrit

 

Chakra's are the Centres of Pyschic Energy and link The Astral & Physical Dimensions and when "blocked", create negatives. 

Listed below are the Seven Main Chakra's and these are linked with many holistic healing techniques.   e.g.  When I am using Reiki, I unblock these energy wheels  with the Reiki energy and this can then help release the malfunctions.

Also you will note that each Chakra has a colour or colours that relate to it.    When using crystals in healings, the colour of the crystal is usually the same colour of the chakra.   This also can apply to other colour therapies.

 

CROWN CHAKRA

Symbolised as a Thousand Petal Lotus which represents Infinity.

COLOUR:  Violet....    Colour of Dignity, Self Respect & Healing.

EMOTION:   Bliss

ELEMENT:   Thought

 

ATTRIBUTES:    True self & Highest state of consciousness ....  Understanding & Bliss  ....  Eternal Infinite  ....  Supreme Existence  ....   Spiritual Enlightenment

MALFUNCTIONS:     Depression  ....  Confusion  ....  Alienation

 

BROW CHAKRA

Symbolised as having 2 Petals

COLOUR:   Indigo

EMOTION:   Dreaming

ELEMENT:   Ether & Light

PHYSICAL LEVEL:    Related to Eyes, Nose, Ears and Brain

 

ATTRIBUTES:    Clairvoyance  ....   Imagination  ....  Sometimes referred to as the 3rd Eye and when awakened, acts with the gifts of Telepathy and Knowing  ....  Increases powers of Intelligence, Memory, Concentration, Willpower & Visualisation 

MALFUNCTIONS:     Blindness  ....  Catarrh & Sinus Problems  ....  Hayfever  ....  Headaches  ....  Neuritis & Migraine  ....  Sleeplessness  ....  Nightmares  ....  Mental stress 

 

 

THROAT CHAKRA

Symbolised by a smoky violet blue Lotus with 16 petals

COLOUR:    Blue

EMOTION:     Creativity

ELEMENT:     Sound

PHYSICAL LEVEL:     Governs the Nervous System, female reproductive organs, vocal chords and ears

 

ATTRIBUTES:    Spoken word  ....  Wisdom  ....  It is the creation centre, especially of the spoken word  ....  It is associated with Sensitivity, Intuition & Creativity

MALFUNCTIONS:     Thyroid  ....  Colds  ....  Influenza  ....  Imbalances can lead to Asthma, Vertigo, Allergies, Anaemia, Fatigue, Laryngitis, Sore throats and Menstrual Problems  ....  Feelings of emptiness and difficulties with Self expression

 

 

 

HEART CHAKRA

Symbolised by a green Lotus with 12 petals

COLOUR:     Green or Pink

EMOTION:    Compassion

ELEMENT:    Air

PHYSICAL LEVEL:    Associated with the Heart, Circulatory system, Lungs and Respiratory System.  The Immune system and the Arms and Hands.

 

ATTRIBUTES:     Balance & Love  ....  Centre through which we love  ....  Love can be expressed on many levels  ....   The more open the centre, the greater or capacity for undemanding spiritual love

MALFUNCTIONS:     Asthma  ....  High blood pressure  ....  Selfish restricting love

 

 

SOLAR PLEXUS

Symbolised by a bright yellow lotus with 10 petals

COLOUR:    Yellow       (apologies,  computer will not give me a lovely bright sunshine yellow)

EMOTION:    Joy and Anger

ELEMENT:    Fire - known as the fire centre

PHYSICAL LEVEL:     Digestion & absorption  ....  Concerns Diaphragm, stomach, duodenum, gall bladder and Liver

 

ATTRIBUTES:     Power & Will  ....  Centre of Vitality on an astral or emotional level  ....  Connected to desire and the emotions

MALFUNCTIONS:     Ulcers  ....  Diabetes  .....  Hypoglycaemia  ....  Rapid mood swings  ....  Deression  ....  Introversion  ....  Lethargy  ....  Poor digestion  ....  Abnormal eating habits

 

SACRAL 

Symbolised by an orange Lotus with 6 petals

COLOUR:    Orange

EMOTION:  Desire

ELEMENT:   Water  -  Affects the flow of fluid in the body

PHYSICAL LEVEL:     Great influence on female ovaries  ....  Influences the skin, reproductiv organs (especially the female), kidneys,  bladder & prostate and circulatory lymphatic  systems

 

ATTRIBUTES:    Ruled by the moon and has love and wisdom as it ray qualities  ....  Opens intuitive & psychic powers  ....  Associated with sex and does not awaken till puberty

MALFUNCTIONS:    Links with emotions of fear and anxiety

 

 

BASE CHAKRA

Symbolised by a deep red lotus flower with 4 petals

COLOUR:     Red

EMOTION:    Stillness

ELEMENT:    Earth  -  grounding

PHYSICAL LEVEL:     Affects legs, feet, bones, large intestine, spine and nervous system

 

ATTRIBUTES:     Survival & grounding  ....  Centre of physical energy & vitality  ....  Regulates sense of smell  ....  Associated with sexuality

MALFUNCTIONS:    Constipation  ....  Obesity  ....  Haemorrhoids  ....  If chakra is blocked, energy levels are low  ....  No enthusiasm for life and cant be bothered with daily tasks
